Ever since we had to move out of the Duke of Cambridge, this pub has been firmly in Rupert's sights. It is a corker!
Mix this with a lot of guest ales, Wandle Ale brewed just up the road, Purity's Mad Goose, wheat beers, thirst quenching lagers, 30 wines by the glass, another 15 by the bottle and live sport on the TV, a weekly quiz, a private room upstairs (The Bridge Room) for the party lovers, a smoking terrace (Albert Square) views over the park, plenty of railings to attach your bike to and quite frankly we expect an invasion from those who never deemed it sensible to go "south of the river" very often.
The Bridge Room can seat 45 for a lunch or dinner, and for drinks can accommodate 80. It has its own bar, access straight to the smoking garden and with a range of menus to accommodate private lunches, dinners, tastings, canapé parties, bbq's, carve your own suckling pig events, family Sunday roasts, and more and more we can cover pretty much any request - in fact we like the challenge of something new!
Right next to the gates that lead you to the cricket pitches, the zoo, the Peace Pagoda, the park car park and all the other delights of quite simply the best London park, we want to make sure that time in the park now has somewhere to end your trip at. This includes refuelling the hearts and stomachs of the many sports teams using the squares, tracks and Astroturf pitches - again Adrian has lists of snacks to fit with the range of pockets for those keeping our sporting nation great.
