The Fleece
Oxfordshire » Witney

Overlooking the expanse of Witney's beautiful Church Green, The Fleece is a fine Georgian building, originally the home of Clinch's brewery and reputedly a favourite watering-hole of Dylan Thomas when he lived in South Leigh. Since taken  over five years ago it has twice been voted one of the top twenty pubs in the UK. It also features in Alistair Sawday and in the 2008 Michelin Guide.

The Fleece is loyally supported by the people of Witney and is one of the few places in town where it is possible to sit outside on sunny days, eating, drinking and watching the world go by. As well as the bustling bar and restaurant, they also have a private dining room for meetings or parties and 10 recently-refurbished en suite bedrooms.

The pub is open Mon-Sun from 9am for breakfast, with lunch served from noon and hot food available all day. They take huge pride in serving the best ingredients we can find, from ethical producers, freshly prepared by their chefs. Whether you pop in for a pint, a business lunch or a special dinner, they promise you a friendly welcome. All day long
